Bharatha
Natyam
Bharatha Natyam
is an ancient South Indian dance form dating back to over 2000 years.
It is a classical dance style that grew out of a melding of aesthetics
and spirituality, as an outward expression in movement and music of
inner spiritual feelings. It combines rhythm, arts of the stage, and
facial expression. The repertoire of Bharatha Natyam is closely tied
with the Hindu religion and mythology. Mastery over this dance form
requires years of mental and physical discipline, hard work and dedication.
